MIDGETS ON A ROLL
The mini road trip was successful as the Midget Boys pulled off two consecutive wins. Our first game was in Ripley and we...
came away with a 7-3 victory. Colin Gingerich and Jordan Brand worked well together lighting up the scoreboard for multiple point nights. Connor Adams got the win between the pipes. The team looks forward to having Matt McAllister, Tony Mathonia and Colton Becker back in the line up very soon. Hats off to Ripley who kept playing right until the final whistle.
On Monday Nov 14th, the boys hosted Teeswater. It was an awesome effort with great chemistry and as a result we came away with a solid 5-2 victory. We had great goaltending by Brett McAllister, which was well deserved. Michael Beierling, Nick Masse, Josh King and Dylan Steckle looked after the back end quite well with lots of smart plays and hard work.
Strong efforts from all forwards with many nice passing plays, creating many great chances by everybody set the tone early. An excellent pass out of our own zone by Brett Laporte, sending Colin Gingerich in on a breakaway to score was a very unselfish highlight. We had excellent offensive pressure by Kurtis Denomme and Braden Erb
resulting in many opportunities, one of which had Braden score a well deserved goal..
Tonights game the neutral zone was owned by Jordan Brand as his hard work and perseverance were fantastic.. Both centermen, Colin and Jordan did an excellent job of supporting Connar McLean, Clare Masse and Ben Cooke as plays developed through all of their teamwork and hard work.
Most impressive though, both games combined our Zurich Midget boys only had four minor penalties in total.
