Bantam Thunder Clinch 1st In WOAA League
The Zurich Bantam Thunder finished their regular season tonight with their 11th straight win after defeating Howick 10-5 in Zurich. It was by no means a pretty game, with alot of sloppy play, but enough for the win and a 1st place finish in league play. Leading the goal scoring parade was Jarett Oke, Bryson Volochkov and Cody Merner with 2 each, Jake Earle, Matt Knight-Bedour, John Cooke and Mitch Finlay with 1 each. Assists went to Devon Steckle, Cooke and Volochkov with 2 each, Merner and Finlay with one. Will Overholt picked up the win in goal for the locals. The teams overall record now stands at an impressive 19-4-2. Their next action will be the Zurich Tournament Dec 29 & 30, then a few exhibiton games before the OMHA playoffs begin in the middle of January.
