Bulldogs Score Late To Tie Thunder
In last night's action the Blyth-Brussels Bulldogs scored
with 7 seconds remaining in the 3rd period to tie the Midget Thunder squad. The
Bulldogs had their goaltender pulled for an extra attacker and had the pressure
on in the last minute of play. Will Overholt made a highlight reel post to post
glove save in the dying seconds and made several outstanding stops throughout
the game. The Thunder defensive corps of Jacob Laporte, Joey Lynn, Jeremy Lynn
and Jake Earle all had strong games on the back end.
Joey Mathonia lead the Zurich offense with 3 assists, Cody Merner had a goal and an assist, John Cooke, Jeremy Lynn and Travis Cressman scored the other goals and Tyler Merner added an assist. The Midget Thunder will try to extend their undefeated streak in League play this Thursday night in Monkton.
