The Juvenile's Swept Drayton in the OMHA Quarter Finals
The Juvenile's are back in action!
Game 1 took the Team to Drayton Friday night for a 9 pm puck drop with a (WIN 3-2).
Game 2 In Zurich Sunday at 4pm with a (5-1 WIN). The first period started off with the Thunder scoring the first goal of the game in the first 30 seconds, followed up by the tieing goal during a Drayton Power play ending the first with a 1 - 1 Tie. The second period was not looking good for the Thunder while they were defending a 5 on 3 power play for two full minutes, however as the penalties expired Zurich scored their second goal and the scoring didn't stop there. By the end of the second the Thunder had scored 3 more to go into the break with a 5 -1 lead. Game 3 did not disappoint, after a nail biting third period and still trailing 3 -2, defenseman Jake Foxton put a shot from the point through the Drayton Goalie to even things up and send this game into sudden death. A few minutes into OT Colton Becker found the puck sitting on the door step and poked it across the line for the Win (4-3) Final. They now get ready to move on to the OMHA Semi Finals vs. a Team from the Hamilton area the Beverly Bandits. The upcoming schedule will be posted as soon as we get the details.
