JUVENILE, 2012-2013 Season (Zurich Minor Hockey)

The OMHA Semi Finals started this week-end for the Juvenile's. Game 1: Saturday night North Wentworth Arena,(Loss 3 - 2) Game 2: Sunday afternoon Mar.3rd  @4pm Home Game (Zurich Arena) (Loss 5-3) Goals scored by Colin Gingerich, Curtis Regier and Josh Brideau. The Juvenile's are back in action! Game 1 took the Team to Drayton Friday night for a 9 pm puck drop with a (WIN 3-2). Game 2 In Zurich Sunday at 4pm with a (5-1 WIN). The first period started off with the Thunder scoring the first goal of the game in the first 30 seconds, followed up by the tieing goal during a Drayton Power play ending the first with a 1 - 1 Tie. The second period was not looking good for the Thunder while they were defending a 5 on 3 power play for two full minutes, however as the penalties expired Zurich scored their second goal and the scoring didn't stop there. The Juvenile Team started their Preliminary Playdowns Sunday night in Milverton @7:30pm.  After a slow start and trailing after the 1 st period they stepped it up in the second to tie the game at 4 a piece before scoring the go ahead goal with only a second left on the clock.  They continued to battle in the third and finished the game with a 7 -5 Win. The WOAA has grouped the Thunder with Drayton and Milverton in a Home and Away (4 game ) preliminary round robin. They play Drayton on Friday night Jan.18th on Home Ice @ 8:30pm and then Milverton travels here to Zurich to play the Thunder ...

The Regular Season for the Juvenile Team has wrapped up on  Dec.29th with a (WIN 4-3 ) vs Lucknow. It has been an eventful season so far with only 8 Regular Season scheduled games they finished with a 8-0-0 record (1 st overall) in their WOAA Group ( vs. teams from Lucknow, Arthur, Drayton, Milverton and Seaforth). However early on in the season Seaforth had to fold due to lack of player support. However with the addition of a couple exhibition games and few tournaments they finished with a 16-1-1 Season Stat.
