Oilers Tame Thunder
The visiting Petrolia Oilers took down the Thunder Peewee Girls tonight in Zurich. The Oilers jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first period as the Zurich girls had a slow start, but the locals battled back strong with 4 unanswered goals to go up by a score of 4-2. The Oilers notched one early in the third to get within one, and scored 3 more in a span of 39 seconds late in the game to outscore the Thunder 6-4 for the win. Scoring the Zurich goals was Isabelle Hurley with 2, Cayla Hoffman and Hailee Masse with one each, assists went to Morgan Ramer with 2, Emma Ducharme, Ava Overholt and Lindsay Merner with one each. The girls travel to Petrolia tomorrow afternoon with hopes to get some revenge after tonight's tough loss.
