Thunder Girls Lose Tight One To BCH
The Zurich Thunder Peewee girls team were edged by the BCH Ice Stars 4-2 in a fairly evenly matched contest in Zurich Friday night. Ava Overholt went to the net hard and buried home the rebound of a Hailee Masse shot on a pass from Hailee Brown to even up the score 1-1. BCH took the lead back shortly after that before Emma Ducharme made a nice pinch at the blue line to keep the puck in, moved it up the boards to Overholt, who passed it across to Lindsay Merner, who found the back of the net to knot the score 2-2 after two periods.
The Ice Stars broke the tie half way through the third on a bad bounce and then another late one to take the game 4-2. Rilee Brown was solid in between the pipes making several key saves. The locals travel to Ridgetown tomorrow afternoon to take on the Kent County Fillies.
