INTENSE HOCKEY SCHEDULE DOES NOT SLOW US DOWN
Our PeeWee Girls prove that intense scheduling does not slow us down...it only makes us stronger!

The girls have played four games including their home opener since Wednesday nite and have pulled off, two ties, one loss and an incredible win.

Our home opener on Wednesday night put Finlay between the pipes taking quite a few shots and helping their team pull off a tie against the Woodstock Wildcats.  Rachel popped our two goals in with assists going to Jenna DeCorte and Julienne.  It was a fantastic game with some excellent digging at the boards.

Friday nite we took to the road and headed for Ilderton where we played like the Leafs!  Not quite sure how it all happened but we gave up a two goal lead to tie the game 4-4 in the last minute of the third period.  The game started out with the girls answering Ilderton's first goal into the game, with Scade sliding one past Ilderton's goalie on a nice feed from Stacey and Charlie.  Charlie finds the back of the net in the second only to have Ilderton respond minutes later to tie it up.  It was the third period when Charlie after after a pass from Jenna D, broke free, slipped another into the net giving us a one goal lead then to make it an even hat trick, breaks free eight seconds after the last and tries to secure a win with another goal.  With only one minute left of the third after struggling to get the puck out of our end, Ilderton finally slips one past our now tired goalie.  To add pressure Ilderton pulls their goalie and manages to squeak another in to tie the game with only NINE seconds left in the game.  Our girls still left the ice proudly as they all gave their best and sometimes that just how the puck slides.

Game # 3 - Saturday Noon:
An excellent game that even though ended up as a loss 3 - 1 as the girls faced off against a very aggressive and experienced BCH team.  There was excellent offensive play again by the girls with a great improvement in positional play with all our rookies shining!

Sunday afternoon took us to Bleinhem where we took our first win!  Excellent goaltending by Rachel kept us in the game and outstanding defense kept our opponents from getting too many shots.  Stacey Masse got her first goal ever, with Emily finding the back of the net not once, but twice with assists going to Stacey and our bull dog board digger Jenna Schade.  Then powerhouse defence Logan Brand after a stellar pass from rookie virus Erica Overholt breaks through and skates to slip one past the Ilderton goalie.  Charlie goes home again with a second hat trick for the weekend...smiling.

The girls take a well deserved break and will be ready to take to their home ice on Saturday against Seaforth.  Rest up girls...cause this one will be a challenge!
