Bantam Thunder Win WOAA Championship
The Zurich Bantam Thunder clinched the WOAA 'E' Championship with a 5-0 home victory over the Howick Hornets. It was a much better defensive effort and the team looked after both ends of the ice well. Leading the offense was Jeremy Lynn with 3 assists and Matt Knight-Bedour with a goal and 2 assists. Other goals were scored by Jarret Oke and Devon Steckle. Assists went to call up Jacob LaPorte with 2, Jake Earle, Cody Merner and call up Tyler Merner with 1 each. Kim Hendrick picked up her 5th shut out of the season in between the pipes. The team now continues its WOAA league playoffs and waits to see who it will play in the OMHA Finals beginning in March.
