PEEWEE THUNDER END SEASON AS WOAA CHAMPS AND OMHA FINALISTS
The Zurich Peewee Rep team battled hard but fell short today in their bid for the OMHA Championship after a 3-0 loss to Manvers. Two determined teams exchanged scoring chances throughout the game until Manvers broke the scoreless tie half way through the third period. Then scored another with three minutes remaining and one more into an empty net with one second left in the game. It seemed like which ever team got the right bounce at the right time and scored the first goal would win the game.
It was disappointing to lose, but the players have to be very proud of themselves for their accomplishment this season. A 15-2-3 league record, a 27-14-3 overall record, 'A' Finalists in the Port Carling tournament, 'A' Champs in the Zurich tournament, WOAA Champions and OMHA Finalists isn't all that bad. The entire coaching staff would like to thank players, parents and their families for their dedication and support throughout the season. It was a fun one for us.
