Peewee's Lead OMHA Semi-Finals 2 Games To 1
The Zurich Peewee Rep team rattled off a hard fought 2-1 victory over visiting Port Carling in game 3 of the All Ontario Semi-Finals. The game kept the local fans on the edge of their seat most of the game after going down 1-0 part way through the first period before battling back late in the first and early in the second to go ahead 2-1 and did a great job keeping the Port Carling offense in check late in the game to seal the huge victory.
The whole team was very focused for the job at hand and worked hard as a team for the entire game. Scoring for the locals was Joey Mathonia and Nathan King, assists went to Jake Earle and Devon Steckle. Will Overholt was stellar in net for the win. Game 4 is Monday Feb 21 at 12:00 pm in Zurich, it should be a good one.
