Port Carling Evens Up Series
The Peewee Rep team took one on the chin in game 2 of the OMHA Semi Finals losing to Port Carling 7-0. The score sounds worse than the game really was, the boys actually played a better first 2 periods than in their win the day before, things just didn't work out in our favour. We played almost half the game short handed, being assessed nine minor penalties. It was also a tough pill to swallow when Team leader Mitch Finlay was decked with an obvious hit from behind in the second period and a 2 minute boarding penalty was all that was assessed.
Finlay lay motionless on the ice for several minutes before being helped off the ice, he did return later in the game. Will Overholt and Wade Coombs split duties in goal. The team is happy with the split up in Port Carling and plans to re-group and be prepared for the next two games back in Zurich next weekend.
