Peewee's Begin New Year On the Right Foot
The Peewee Rep team took down Goderich AE by a score of 6-2 to begin 2011 on a good note. The team continued its strong play working hard from beginning till end and looking after there own end well. Team scoring leader Mitch Finlay continued his fantastic season scoring four goals to lead the way. Other goal scorers were John Cooke and Tyler Merner. Assists went to Cooke with three, Jake Earle and Joey Mathonia with two, and Travis Cressman, Devon Steckle, Connor Brand and Finlay with one each. Jacob LaPorte, Nathan King, and Mackenzie Hendrick all played strong defensive games. 'Demolition man' Devon Steckle made several punishing hits to keep the opposition on its toes. Will Overholt made several key saves for the victory.
