I'm Just Saying......
that right now, I couldn't really be much more prouder of our Bantam team. No, we didn't succeed tonight in continuing for the quest of OMHA finalist title like our Thunder counterparts (PeeWees & Midgets) are doing, BUT... proud Heck yes, what of you ask, let me just tell ya 'all....
proud of....
- the tight series we gave our arch nemesis of Brussels...
- not retaliating when some pretty good checks were dealt to us
- the class act we are and showed it when we didn't win the final game, led by our "stellar" role model of a captain "Dylan Steckle" by initiating the shaking of hands at the end of the game when I'm not so sure if this act would've been carried out had we had won the game....
- our coaches and trainer for their support and most of all for not being the "yelling type"!!
- our superb goaltending thus far by Hendricks and McAllister and in this last series just McAllister due to Hendricks injury and vacation schedule. Some magnificent saves that brought us to our feet!
- the Bluewater community fans and Brussel visitors for supporting our highest 50/50 pot this season and better yet having a Zurichite (my personal friend), Peter Mathonia winning it!! yeehaw!
- just the overall effort given by all players during this series
- our spunky, red-caped, thunderbolt mascot who did his/her(?) best to get the crowd "pumped"
- on a personal note, proud of the fact I didn't get ejected from the arena for being a rowdy hockey mom (ha ha)
One highlight about not winning this series - we don't have to travel to Sturgeon Lake! (even tho I know we could've beat 'em (tee hee).
In closing, let's continue on in our playdowns boys and gal and give it your best!
