3 game catchup + tourney - YIKES!
Cripes, what a week!  5 games in 7 days - I think we're all exhausted just watching the players!!  Man, how times flies and so did our Bantam player's skates when they played Howick on November 1st in the Howick "memorial gardens"......

After the first period, Zurich was up 5-0 and continued the scoring trend during the second period until a 9-0 score was visible on the score board at the end of the second.  End of the game showed a 14-2 final score for the visitors (us).  A rather "unstressful" game to watch - a highlight being great goaltending by Brett McAllister.

"On the Road Again" on November 4 to Ripley (believe it or not).  Ripley was leading after the first period 2-1.  Legs, passing, something wasn't working for the boys and the coach was thinking that the team had their Friday night game against Blyth (the arch nemesis) on their minds.  After realizing their actual talent, dominating the remainder of the game was their mission which was successful with a 10-3 score.  Highlights: Cody Merner hat trick and stellar goaltending by Kim HENDRICK.

It was a balmy November Friday night, Nov. 5 to be exact when the Bantams would host their arch nemesis Blyth (alias leathertown).  Seriously, I don't have the stats but it was our second loss with a final score 6 or 7-2 (who likes to report on a loss anywho!).  They have a couple of small, speedy skaters (Sx3) to watch out for and once we do that - why it's smooth sailing for the season!

The Bill Batten Memorial Tourney was a great opportunity to practice/play locally.  The Bantams travelled a distance to the South Huron Community Centre on Sunday, Nov. 7 to play a couple of games.  First opponent was the home centre of South Huron.  A good game to watch with a close 0-0 score after the 1st period and a final score of 5-1 for S.H.  Goaltending was shared between McAllister/Hendrick.
Second game was an extremely close, back-to-back in scoring kinda game with the final score 7-5 for East Lambton.  Goaltending through the tourney - excellent - considering we were outshot 33-19!  Not too bad a showing against the larger centres also considering, Mitch Dietrich our dominant centre was off with an injury.

Gotta go to bed, over and out.......
