Zurich on the Map
The Bantams put Zurich on the map while playing at the "Stratford Warrior Weekend" tournament last Saturday at the new Rotary Arena.
Our "rural" team held the "city boy's" team to a 0-0 score until 11 minutes left in the third period at which time Stratford scored on a powerplay opportunity. The clock ticked on and with a minute something left, Zurich pulled the goalie and Stratford popped another goal in making it 2-0. The time was really ticking hard on Zurich at this point and Matt Knight-Bedour (assisted by Cody Merner) got the puck past the Stratford goalie making it 2-1 at the end of the game. A great start to the season and well worth the money for admission (oh yeah, we didn't pay admission!)...thanks Stratford!
