MUSTANGS ARE THUNDER STRUCK IN GAME 4
Zurich Midgets are sending this OMHA Midget Finals into Game 5 . Game 3 was hosted by Zurich on Saturday although the Thunder struck first with a goal by Tony Mathonia unassisted there wasn't much else to report for them other than after going down 7-1 their backs were up against the wall for Game 4 on Sunday.

They travelled to Manvers with one goal in mind to win this game to force a final and deciding Game 5 show down this coming week-end back here in Zurich @ 4pm. They did not dissapoint, the Thunder came out fast and scored 2 unanswered goals early on. One at 14:04 his first of the game by Colin Gingerich assisted by Matt McAllister followed up 30 seconds later by Jordan Brand again assisted by McAllister to give Zurich an early 2 - 0 lead.  After a few anxious moments killing off a 5 on 3, 2 man advantage late in the period the Zurich defense with Groot between the posts made it almost impossible for the Mustangs to score. The second period saw Manvers 1st of the game bringing them within 1 but Gingerich answered back scoring No#3 for the Thunder @ 4:10 assisted by Colton Becker.  After 40 Minutes the Thunder had a 3 -1 lead and knew they would have to be tough for the final 15 mins.  The third period was action packed with Manvers managing two quick goals early in the period to even the game at 3. However Gingerich wasn't satisfied and put the Thunder ahead again with his 3rd of the game assisted again by line mate Brand. With the clock winding down Zurich got a huge boost by Gingerich again scoring their 5th goal to give them a 2 goal cushion assists going to Nick LaPorte and Brand.  It was looking good until the Mustangs pulled their goalie early and with the 6th attacker managed to get one past Groot to come within one @1:12 but the clock was on Zurich's  side and ran out before they could score again ending the match  5- 4.  The players and families of the Zurich Midgets want to invite everyone out to cheer them on to a second consecutive OMHA Title on Sat. March 26th at 4pm (Zurich Arena) GO Thunder GO!!
