IT'S NOT OVER YET
Get ready to head North again Thunder fans, it was a tough pill to swallow but the Zurich Midgets are going into Game 5 on Sunday in Ayton. Zurich jumped into an early lead with a goal by the Captain Laporte at 14:07 assisted by Kris Ducharme. They had a very good first period controlling most the play in the offensive end, however Normanby managed to even things up at 7:52. Jordan Brand gave Zurich the lead again by scoring one of his own at 1:23 again assisted by Ducharme.
It was good to see Brand bounce back after a nasty hitting from behind earlier in the period which resulted in the Normanby player being ejected from the game. The second period was not one of Zurich's best Normanby scored 1 goal at 5:02 but Colin Gingerich gave Zurich another at 4:38 assisted by Colton Becker and Greg Cooper, once again to give Zurich a 1 goal advantage. It was a short victory when Normanby battled back to score again at 3:55 to keep the score even at 3 going into the intermission. After a couple of late penalties called at the end of the second the Thunder started off the third with a 5 on 3 power play and made the most of it with Gingerich again scoreing the go ahead goal at 14:38 assisted by Drew Wood and LaPorte. In the last 4 minutes of the period the wear and tear of such a physically rough series was starting to show and in the dieing minutes of the game Normanby managed to score 2 quick goals to end the game 5-4 sending the series into Game 5.
