HAT TRICK FOR GINGERICH HELPS ZURICH TO A 7-3 VICTORY
Game 3 on Home Ice turned out exactly like the Thunder had hoped.  After a disappointing lose on Sunday the team came back Wed. night to prove to their fans that they could play a lot better!  The first period started off fast and full of energy at 13:08 Jordan Brand scored one for Zurich (short handed) , assisted by Kris Ducharme and Tony Mathonia. The score board was quiet for the rest of the first while the Thunders Goal Tender Josh Groot kept Zurich ahead with some great saves.

Going into the Second period with only a 1 - 0 lead, all of a sudden at 13:27 (short handed again) , also at 3:17 and yet again at 1:28 Colin Gingerich decided to put in three goals for Zurich, with some help from Brand, Ducharme, LaPorte and Becker. Congratulations to Colin for getting the HAT TRICK and for giving Zurich the Momentum they needed to carry them through the rest of the period. Zurich played short handed for a big part of the second but they still managed to stay in control. Along the way Bothwell scored a couple of goals to keep the game close giving the Thunder only a 2 goal cushion going into the intermission. ( 4-2)   Unsure what to expect from the Refs they had to play a smart third period and do their best to try and stay out of the penalty box. They did just that and as the clock ticked down the last few minutes they put the game away with a goal from Ducharme at 11:02, an empty netter from LaPorte @ .36 seconds and one from Becker with only .11 seconds left to finish Bothwell off 7 - 3.  Game 4 goes tomorrow night @8:30 in Bothwell, A WIN will finish this series, however if Game 5 is necessary it comes back here to Zurich on Sunday afternoon @4:40pm.
